All Star Baseball 2004 Details
Acclaim Entertainment Inc. has released a few details on the next title in its All Star Baseball lineup of videogames.
All Star Baseball 2004 will release in February 2003 for the PlayStation2, Xbox, GameCube and Game Boy Advance platforms. A PC version will follow in May. Online play will be enabled (though specific online platforms were not mentioned) and a lineup of 110 retired legends of the game, such as Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb and Cal Ripken, will be available.
Cover boy Derek Jeter will once again return, and will host stadium
tours, live footage in the game’s multimedia section, a Rookie mode for training
and take part in Scenario mode, where virtual managers must decide how to handle
different situations.

tutorial - Practice Mode through which Jeter makes players familiar with the controls,
game play, and specific situations - More than 80 new features and improvements, including: Complete front-end
overhaul; In-game save capability; Improved fielding, base running & batting
AI - Downloadable rosters
- Over 50 playable teams, 75 stadiums, 200 uniforms and 20 unlockable teams
- English & Spanish play-by-play
Acclaim also claims the game underwent a complete “front-end†overhaul. All Star
Baseball 2004 is in development by Acclaim’s Austin Studio.
