If you are looking for a good party game, and want to jump right into the action
without having to deal with all the mumbo jumbo you have with some other so-called
party games, then Fuzion Frenzy is worth every penny. On the
flip side, if your need is for a more in depth game, that will keep your attention
for months to come, then stick with another game genre, it’s a party game,
and it has everything you would want in one!

Gameplay

You’ll be amazed at the variety of games available in this launch title. From
rolling around in balls on a track, racing through waters to see who can get past
the cones and cross the finish line first, sparking up some fireworks, and running
in circles around a seemingly endless spiral course upwards, Fuzion Frenzy will
definately keep the attention of your guests and friends.

Most games are designed for 4 players, hence the term PARTY. Don’t have
many friends? That’s OK, the AI will make up for anything less than 4 players
with some suprisingly solid competition.

Control

With over 40 mini-games available, you must be thinking that control is a factor
with this game. You couldn’t be farther from the truth! No matter what game you’re
playing, the controls are simple, and to the point, and clearly presented to you
right before the game starts. Makes it effortless to pick up a controller and
start wooping your buds! On a side note, some of the games have a stiff control,
and don’t seem to allow the movements at exactly the correct time, while others
are flawless.

Graphics

Let’s talk real-time lighting effects, because that’s what you get with this game.
Crisp, fast frame-rates and some of the best rendered partical effects. Lots of
bright colors, good animations, excellent cartoon-like characters (being that
it is a party game – not an RPG
) and good integration with the sound leave
us no choice but to rate the graphics well.

Audio

Alright – the sound they have incorporated into the game is perfect for some of
the matches, but if you feel the need to add your own music to it, by all means
go ahead, since this title boasts the ability to use the console’s hard drive
to store and play your own music tracks. While everything appears to be fine,
that is, until that annoying squirt wins and has to say it in his squeaky little
voice, oh sorry, what I mean is that they could have easily left out
the character rambling at the end of the matches, and I would have been just as
impressed.

Replay Value

This games best score comes in this category, with countless hours wasted trying
to push your buddies off that ever-shrinking platform in Sumo, you’ll find that
it’s about time to get back to work, before you even finish. The 45 or so game
option make this a killer replay title.

Additional Comments

While there’s not much ground-breaking to the game, it offers up exactly what
it advertises, a whole lot of multiplayer fun!
