The Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA) recently held their 21st annual VSDA 2002 Home Entertainment Awards ceremony. Taking place at the Rio Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from July 16th to the 18th, the awards ceremony handed out awards in 18 categories based on rental figures amassed up to March 31st, 2002. The total nominees included 84 titles ranging from movie to gaming software, and were judged by a committee of retailers, trade journalists and distributors.

Here’s the results for the Best Xbox Video Game of the Year:

  • Dead or Alive 3: Tecmo
  • Halo: Combat Evolved: Microsoft
  • Star Wars: Obi-Wan: LucasArts Entertainment
  • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3: Activision (winner)
