Here’s the scoop. Last night our server administrator was performing maintenance and hit the wrong button, completely wiping our database out. Fortunately, I had a backup, unfortunately, it was about 1-2 days old. Therefor, some of the site data was lost. This includes posts, news articles, cheats, etc . . . Life goes on however.

I have restored the database completely based on the backup information I had available. I have also re-written my backup script to backup more frequently, just in case we press the wrong button again.

The unfortunate fact is that about 50 members, two days of posting and articles, and a few other things have been lost.

I would like to personally apologize for any inconvenience anyone has had to go through because of this. And assure you that I am doing everything possible to prevent this from happening in the future, I strongly believe that this is the last problem of this type I/we will need to go through.

We need help, there was alot of good posts and news articles that have been lost, help us out by submitting news, posting good info in the forums, submitting cheats, downloads, links, images, etc. . . . Alot of that has not been lost, only what was new as of 2 days ago, but more interaction is the key to the success of our community.

By the way, as Gronar has pointed out, the Newsletter that I sent to everyone had a typo. I said out of 3,450 members I restored 3,999 of them.
Actually, I meant 3,399 of them.
Server Database Crash + Too Much Coffee = Too many Nines. Oops!!!
