Although they have successfully used the ESPN licence for over two years now, Konami have decided not to resign a contract with ESPN for their future sports titles. Any games currently in development using the ESPN license will still continue. The final Konami game to carry the ESPN license will be ESPN MLS Extra Time 2002, as ESPN Winter X Games SnowCross is not likely to use the ESPN license.
